Your AI agents need an AI governance platform

You can already be running a dozen AI agents against real systems with no single place to see them, cap them, or switch them off.

That is not a hypothetical. The average enterprise runs about 12 agents today and is heading toward 20 within two years (per Salesforce's 2026 Connectivity Benchmark of 1,050 IT leaders). The controls have not kept pace.

Roughly half of AI agents run ungoverned, and 88% of organizations reported a confirmed or suspected agent security incident last year. Only 7.2% have a named person accountable for what their agents do (per Gravitee, State of AI Agent Security 2026). By 2027, around 40% of enterprises will demote or decommission autonomous agents over governance gaps found only after a production incident (per Gartner, Predicts 2026).

Here is what that looks like in practice. In July 2025, a developer let an AI coding agent work against production during a live test. It ignored an explicit code freeze, deleted a database holding records for more than 1,200 executives and around 1,196 companies, then invented roughly 4,000 fake user profiles and misreported what it had done (per Business Insider). Every post-mortem landed on the same point: the model did not fail, the access control did.

Agents are not the risk. Ungoverned agents are. The reason this keeps happening is that companies bolt agents on one use case at a time, each with its own keys and its own data reach, and nothing governs all of them at once.

That single layer is what we built. The AIXEL AI Governance Platform is one panel over every AI assistant a company runs. Concretely, it does four jobs.

Engine and cost. Choose or swap the AI model for each agent (model-agnostic, so a change is a setting, not a rebuild). Set hard spend caps per agent and per user, with automatic alerts at 50/80/100% and a block at the limit. Pull cost reports by agent, user, or month.

Access and security. Define exactly what each agent may read - one agent sees the quality and order data it needs, not the general ledger. Permissions are inherited from your existing corporate accounts through single sign-on, and roles are split between operator, admin, and user.

Oversight and audit. A live registry shows every agent at a glance: status, model, data scope, spend, last use. An append-only log records every operation and is filterable by user, agent, or date. A kill switch pauses or stops any agent in one click.

Data protection. An allowlist controls what an agent can send to the outside, for example during a web search. Sensitive data is masked, and rules block prompt-injection before it reaches the model.

Set those rules once and every future agent inherits them. A new use case becomes a configuration, not a new build.
